Lucan was born in the Year of Lightning Storms (1374 DR) to a family of wood elves in the Northern reaches of the Chondalwood.

When he came of age (late 20s), he went South to explore. In 1385 DR, when the Spellplague hit, Lucan was far enough South in the Chondalwood to avoid the brunt of it, but the rest of his family was not. Immediately after, he rushed North to find out if his family was safe, only to find half of the region replaced by what was to become Akanül, and his family and village replaced by a group of very confused eladrin. He reached his village within days, and was one of the first of Faerün to welcome the new race of elves in that region. (Which means he speaks elven with an original Faerün accent, but recognizes the Abeir dialect in anyone who came over from that event.)

The Spellplague caused many changes in Faerün, and Lucan was one of those affected—not only does he have a spellscar (which will manifest as blue flame glowing from the lines in his hands), but the staff and bow that he was carrying at the time were hardened and aged by the plague (no mechanical effect in-game). He still carries them both to remember (and will be upgrading his existing staff instead of replacing it with new equipment). His skin, hair (brown), and eyes (green) all turned darker, with small flecks of blue flame, at that time.

About ten years after, he left to travel the world. For the last twenty years, he has been in Aglarond (where I take my regional benefit: Perception as a class skill and +1 bonus), exploring the wood. Needing a change of pace, he set off south for Chessenta, looking for a large city. He’s still mostly using the same equipment from his first trip South, minus some patches and stitches.
