NAME: Xandos-Alonzo Caliz
STRENGTHS: Quickness, Charm
TACTICS: Hit with range, move in to close the gap, attack close range, move again. Quick to arms; quick to react
VIEW TOWARD OTHER RACES: Kobolds should die; they are a menace to civilized populations everywhere. Apathetical towards most others. Enjoys the company of Elves, 1/2 Elves, Men, and Dragonborn.
ARMAMENTS: Daggers, small throwing objects, and hand crossbow.
DEITY: Xandos-Alonzo serves no deity
“Gods are nothing more than kings. They rule over their lands and dictate their will to the peasants. Some of their followers receive great authority and power; but that only lasts until a new dynasty conquers and spreads its dominion across the lands. Gods deserve no more reverence than a governor.”
From and early age Alonzo heard of the gods of his forefathers. He has learned that the Mulhorandi pantheon does no longer exist, or at least is so far removed from their world that communication and their bestowed power is gone.
Xandos-Alonzo does not judge others for following deities, including those that have been granted divine power (like the cleric and paladin). He sees them all as servants to a lord, and nothing more. Xandos-Alonzo’s lord is the ruling elders of his colony, which he hopes someday to govern.
VIEW TOWARD OTHER CLASSES: Since rogues stereotypically are looked down as unfavorable classes, there is no other class that would socially be further below his class standing. Therefore Xandos-Alonzo respects all other classes and holds no ill will towards them. Instead, he evaluates people as model examples or poor excuses that shame their class.
APPEARANCE: While Xandos appears not necessarily strong, he is neither that weak. A sort of hidden strength is shown at times.
PERSONALITY: Xandos-Alonzo is ambitious, looking for ways to demonstrate his abilities and skills. He tries to keep an ace in reserve at all times, which sometimes seems he is more conservative than ambitious. Xandos-Alonzo tries to live by the code that times can always be worse off than they currently are. Unfortunately, because of his knack to fight, he sometimes leaves himself with little option to hold anything back.
Everything has a price. Even my morality… could be forfeit.
SOCIAL INTERACTIONS: Charming, hopefully optimistic, skeptically trusting
DECISION POINTS: Humbly Following, Flexible at rule following, Thoughtful
DIRE STRAITS: Recklessly Fierce, Driven by setbacks, Unshakable Nerves
Perhaps his greatest strength is flexibility; not just in the physical sense of the word, but also in ideals. He is willing to follow an unorthodox guideline, as well as bend rule’s law if it seams “open to interpretation.” His next greatest strength would be to lead (or mislead depending upon his intentions) others into taking action.
Xandos-Alonzo has always been proud of his fight mentality with respect to the “fight or flight” psychology. Because he gets so wrapped up in destroying his opponent offensively that he sometimes forgets the more appropriate adage “run today, to fight again another day.” It is these dire straits that cause him to become even more fervent in his goal. Luckily, this mental state does not control Xandos-Alonzo every time a conflict arises. If it did, he would surely have passed on years ago. He usually takes some time to evaluate a given situation before acting, if time allows.
